I had to replace one of my tires (back left) by the spare one (which is similar size and rim).. it was just replaced at the station and the truck recognized the new one automatically (it already had the sensor).. but I thought it would be detecting the old one.. and no.. it automatically detected the new one and no error at all.. The replaced one, just laid on the truck bed
It shows up on the tire pressure screen as well?

yes. it was automatically recognized and the one that I take off the truck automatically removed.. I was expecting some error.. but i had to do nothing. Lucky boy?
That's not what in talking about. I'm going to add a 5th tpms for the spare and want to see if it reads all 5 sensors. Not replacing, getting rid of or moving them around.

So, I went in to stop all the seatbelt messages in the IPC module by changing all the values in 720-13-01/2 to 0. Immediately gave me a DTC for restraint module config. Reset the original values and it cleared. Now, I like my airbags and seatbelts to work as designed so I left it alone. Any ideas?

Hi. First time poster. So I just spent a few hours reading this entire thread (76 pages) and am super impressed with the progression and combined effort to figure things out. I'm new to Forscan and have just ordered a cable so keen to try some things out and contribute where possible..

But did you activate it with forscan? I saw number of tpms somewhere when I was making changes. And do you know which frequency the sensor was?
No need to do anything with Forscan. Frequency for 2024 is 315Mhz.

Also, I don't believe there is any setting that will allow you to read 5 sensors. As I understand it, the receiver is located in the headliner (I believe), and uses the offset distances and other measurements from each sensor to determine each wheels location. When you swap out the wheel (sensor) or rotate, it self learns with the switch as the receiver is getting different data so it relearns automatically after some amount of driving. I believe this can be accelerated with a manual relearn scan tool, but not necessary.

I have validated in a 2024 Ranger Raptor when buying a 5th wheel to swap out for 5 tire rotations. I tested extensively by dropping the pressure in 1 tire and seeing where on the gauge cluster it registers, then swapping and watching it move.

The only thing I did with Forscan regarding tires is add tire temperature readings. So I see pressure and temperature on my gauges.

I specifically saw number of tpms when I was in there. 4 or 5.

Great! Try it and let us know if it works. I personally don't know the limitations of the receiver and if it will pick up a 5th tire. It would be great if it did.

Well, what i saw was number of tires. I changed it to 5 but it wouldn't write. So, it won't show on the screen either way. It may see the tpms when the wheel is mounted in position but no 5th monitor to see. I used an aftermarket TPMS android radio based system on my 1989 Mustang and was able to monitor 5 sensors. I guess it can't be done on a 2025. Lol.

Is there anyway to put a pin code/lock on the connectivity settings? I'd hare for someone to take the car and disable it so it cannot be tracked. Why Ford hasn't made this a feature is beyond me.

Okey, I did alot of things and there aren't such a thing that you cannot do, or you cannot add this and that to car after it leaves from factory. Engineer has been placnned the machine and engineers are lazy as hell (I got masters in mechanical engineering), so there are always easy way to go :D my project is still going on because i need to keep the car in drive condition all the time so this is slow but here I speak about the things that is finished and going on without any DTC and they work as they supposed

Car is 2024 EU spec tremor 2.0 bi turbo (in oe halogen lights, 10" middle, basically, ccm, Trailer Module, XL with fancy logos extras + the off-road capability ?), so I had pretty good looking off-road car but i needed more. I thought a wile that shall I wait the warrantee or have fun, it wasn't a hard question. This wasn't so expensive, actually very cheap if you compare what they costs on dealer. I have used mainly secondhand demolition parts something had to order from tasca. I really want to instal and make the car look as factory look as possible so I needed to get s donor car, that was 2023 platinium in Australia. I took bonnet harness, cab harness, both front door harnesses and dasboarharness, all those big looms needed to cut open to get acces the plain lines that will be installed what ever needed. Also the car had luckily ipma and apim still left so I took those aswell. That was the start My end goal is to make the tremor packed with Tec. Mixed raptor+platinum. Some point I'll will do the engine swap aswell. But it will be Coyote V8 or I dunne if the Hemi will go there, it's still in far future.

firstly all that I have needed and used rom spreadsheet works. Like a charm. I guess if you think that something ain't working then you have incorrect chain of commands between modules. All are linked in way or other. Anyhow tool I have used is forscan paid licence only.

1. Changed apim, IPMA, center screen, ACM, BCM and battery junction box to highest spec that I was able to get my hands on. Module by module I pmi those (,BCM was basically good to go, pmi.d and cloned the starting settings and pats by seller) and used the donorcar asb and then change the vin and rest country dependent. After that its just checking and fixing in a point where you calibrate.

2. Added OEM matrix bending headlights, full led tail lights with bliss. So I needed to add hcm in car and level censors in wheels. Wiring from donor and Ovako and eBay the parts.

3 360 copilot, allmost the new copilot 2.0 (yes it's possible). 12" main screen, OME cameras from AliExpress (so cheap), wiring from donor and for the mirrors took littlebit time because I wanted full spec, in there. Eventually I found left and right raptor (from different cars) very badly damaged mirrors but with wirelooms with coaxes. I took my own mirrors and ordered f150 mirror bottom cover. Did some drawing and needed to see the camera places in live (I went to dealer to check) and finally cutted the inser, put in little tilt in there and welded to my oem mirror (I cutted right size hole.) then added the wiring cameras bliss class puddle etc in there and shut the cover. Front camera was easy, wildtrak camera holder and jumper, coax from donor. Then front parking sensors, lane keeping was one as was the accm (still needed calibration). But after finished I calibrated everything in ipma, CCM and all works, even trailer ,360 camera it was super.

3. 360 lightning, also 360 lightning in trailer, advanced trailer functions even the back up assist , but why not. Trailer brake and the caravan camera(really need the trailer alot, iam working as farrier and my workshop is inside) claibrating afterwards

4. Upfitter, nothing. Special there

5. Replaced the ACM, installed audison Forza using nav TV with full focal. In front utopias and rear flax evoa. 2 8" subs and also made the beoainic available. It's actually really good when fine tune audison.

6 ambient light, alot of info in web. This is basically only matter of wiring. Super easy to do but huge time consumer. Eventuallu all installed with little add ons. All works like they supposed.

7 motor seats, my way was the wrong way, I got the motors and all parts to put in there but the ammount of time...never again, just find used ones and throw them in plug and play. Then foracan.

8 dual zone automatic AC, yet again mainly matter of wiring, needed to add couple sensors in ducts and air/humidity sensor in roof console.

9 changer exhaust, more suitable air filter, added racechip with pedal tune

Now Iam collecting parts for keyless pke and pba, pro onboard power to power my workshop when off grid, 2 battery setup. After those I dunno, what comes in mind and what I need, basically all the thing came from need (not the motor seats, I hate those seats now :D no practical use).

Last thing, ranger super fun car to play around, so easy and roomy also it is pretty damn well prewired, what makes your life easier. Some tips, get the wiring diagrams, get to know you car. You cannot do anything if every wire, every connection/connector makes "wtf" feeling. Check modules trim levels and make yourself a list what you really want. And then think if there is something extra that would come in same installation session. Make your self familiar with the spreadsheet as built sheets and play with "on/off mode"

Don't let the car connect to internet before you have finished for sure that area for example 360 copilot.

Thanks for reading
Hi

Great job and helpful post.

Would you give some more details about how you mounted cameras to side mirrors?

I did installed the oem 360 cam system by replacing the ipma and connecting front and side cameras, and everything works fine. Currently my side cams are strapped in footwell waiting for me to find side mirrors bottom covers with camera trims or some cheap used side mirrors. I already have required coax wiring and connectors.

Thanks

I understand that you steer with drive mode selctor 🤔 As far as I understand, only missing hardware is on/off button inside the drive mode selector, but it can be turned on from IPC or Sync as well.
Just want to ask if there is really a possibility to activate the Trailer Assist on 24 models without the button?? Does this work?

I’m over here just trying to turn off the “check seatbelts” thing on the screen every single time you turn on the truck. Lol
