When pulling into my tight garage space I get an error saying the Front Sensors are blocked. Sometimes the camera will turn off when I get this error and have to hit the camera button again. What’s weird I sometimes get this error when pulling out of my garage, why would it be complaining about the front when backing up?

Any suggestions or tips? My guess this is normal behavior from how sensitive the sensors are.

Good morning! This error message concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience. Please send us a private message including your VIN and local Ford dealer so we can investigate further. Thanks!

The sensors are pretty sensitive in general. I have a pretty tight garage and they are all beep quite a bit backing into it. That wouldnt indicate a blocked issue though. Are you sure the sensor is tight in its housing? It could be loose.

it does seem normal in certain conditions. I have a very very tight garden entrance, wall on both sides and I have like an inch on each side of clearance. the sensors clearly go bananas cause I am too close to the obstacles. many times they just stop working saying the sensors are blocked. I believe it's because the car still moves while the sensors tells you are hitting an obstacle. my entrance is like10 yard long

Yep sensors are tight and no visible block or movement. I’m guessing it’s normal. I have about 4 inches of space on each side and front when I pull into my garage. It’s a very tight garage. I see why turning off the sensors off-road is an option on this vehicle.

where do you have that option?I mean you are talking about the parking sensor toggle on the display?

I keep my front sensors off, constantly dealing with blocked sensor error for no apparent reason.

It’s doing the same for me when I’m pulling in or out of the garage. The car is new… Were you able to resolve it somehow?

I had it happen to me recently as well. The sensors are just overly sensitive.

My raptor did an over the air update this week. I haven’t noticed the front sensor error popping up yet when pulling into my garage and backing out. Will keep an eye out.

My front left sensor constantly gives me the blocked message as well. Sitting in traffic, or pulling up to a stop light, or backing up into a spot. It won’t just do it once, but numerous times in a row. Thought the OTA update would have fixed it.

Try wiping off the sensors with a rag.

I was getting this from a drivers side sensor and it was going crazy when I was multiple feet away from objects. There was a bunch of dirt/dust on the sensor and after wiping it away, the problem went away

I also have the exact same behavior occurring from my front left parking sensor. When I decelerate to under about 5 mph with nothing nearby it will go off (intermittent). Also occasionally the front sensor blocked alert will go off as well. This has been occurring since about the first week in Dec.

It is definitely a parking sensor going off as I am moving slowly and without a doubt a malfunction.
