Gemini instead of assistant while using android auto

Anyone have gemini on the AA whlie driving ? Im still stuck with the basic assistant , but my wifes hyundai has it in here car and we have identical phones both using gemini as the assistant but when I connect to AA it reverts back to the basic assistant..

I shut it off after a recent update enabled it as it was slow, could not get it right with voice commands to make calls. Seemed it was not ready for release yet.

I hated it. A recent android update enabled mine and I lost all my stored routines. Took me a bit to figure out how to revert back. Now I can again say, "OK Google, open the farm gate." and out I go.

Update on this if anyone is interested.. My wife has an identical phone and i tried hers as it is set up exactly as mine is.. Her phone connected to the car uses Gemini, and mine only uses the assistant. No idea why. I removed the phone and added it again but nothing. So its not the Truck , its the phone.
