I want to start by asking that you guys and gals, please don't see me as the whiney bitch on this forum.
I have had this issue for a while. I will run the Max defrost for a few minutes right after startup, then when I turn off, I select the panel for air output.
Even with the temp set down to 62, the truck continues to blow warm air even after a few minutes of driving.
There is very little adjustment between 62 and 65 degrees to make the air temp be acceptable. I find myself constantly turning the setting up and down between 63 and 65 to be comfortable. Is there any calibrating to resolve this?
Thanks for any input.

If you're running max defrost all of the heat is going to be causing the top of the truck to get warm and not the bottom. If you run regular floor heat instead then the temperature sensor in your glove box will be able to sense the rising heat from the floor easier. That's likely why you're having problems balancing the temperature. I'd try running without max defrost and see if there's any difference.

When in heat I like setting my air vents to all three locations. Defrost / regular vents / floor.

I have all 3 zones lit in blue when in heat.

I feel the more your vents you have delivering the heat the more even it will get distributed and avoid the hot and cold swings your describing.
