Hi folks,

It is my understanding that Ford limits the battery charge to 80%. My issue is that I live in a northern climate where cold temps can seriously affect the battery capacity. I thought I had read a thread about adjusting the BMS to charge the battery to 100% via Forscan. I can't seem to find the thread, can someone either point me in the right direction or suggest other alternatives. Thanks

It is in Body control module. Something related to BMS, when you see number "80" just change it to 100 and write.
That is a must modification for winter, if you use auxiliary heater.

Thanks for the advice, I can't seem to find it on the spreadsheets, maybe one has to actually hook up the forscan, will try that next.

You are correct, for some reason this modification is not listed in Forscan Spreadsheet - I think it could very well be.
Just go to Body control module Non-asbuilt with Forscan, it was somewhere there very close to other BMS things and easy to change.
You can also deactivate smart charging in the same module. I did not deactivate it, for me it works just fine with smart charging when target charge is 100%.

State of charge is what your looking for. I put mine to 90% and changed my battery to dual battery single sensor, because I added the arb dual battery kit from Australia to my canadian ranger.. the rangers in the bcm have options for the battery
• single battery, single sensor
• dual battery, single sensor
• dual battery, dual sensor
