I finally got the great news this morning! The final production tracker update quickly turned into a phone call from the dealer telling me that my Ranger Raptor was delivered!
After months of waiting like a lot of you, I was pumped.
Then, the dealer said we have a small problem. He said there was a dent in the tailgate from shipping…
Ok, can’t be that serious, right? The body shop can take care of it? Oh, how wrong I was. I arrived to the dealership after work and discovered a dirty, rusty, bird pooped Ranger Raptor. Obviously It wasn’t cleaned yet since sitting in a lot since Feb, but seriously it was bad lol.
I could most definitely look past all of the dirt, but the rust was a little different.
Don’t get me wrong, the truck still looked great. BUT
This huge dent on the back ( see pics ) was clearly not a love tap. Also someone had tried to fix it as the screws on the inside of the bed were loose and there was tap marks. Carrier? Ford? Not sure, but it’s not good.
Along with the huge dent, there were multiple scratches and chips in the paint all over the vehicle, that I could see with all the dirt. I don’t want to know how many there actually are when it’s washed.
The interior was no better, it looked like I took 3 kids on a 3k mile roadtrip, but it only had 18 miles on it. So many scratches on the interior it was crazy.
Also the body panels are pretty off, but that can be fixed.
Really disappointed @Ford. This is not a brand new vehicle. I will attach pics of how the truck arrived. Let me know what you guys would do. I still love the truck, but I am bummed.
