First of all, let me say I love my new Ranger Lariat 4 WD , but as of today, it has been at the dealership for 9 days now. It started with a whirring metallic sound that kept getting worse. It’s noticeably worse at 40+ mph.
The dealership thought it was a windshield issue, so they took out the glass and replaced the gasket and sealant. No help. They have checked all u-joints, drivelines and fluids. No help. They said they are now talking to engineering in Detroit.
Anyone else having issues with weird noises?
Will let you know of updates. If they don’t find a fix within 15 days, I might have to go the Lemon Law route.

You might need to check with your State's lemon laws, but usually it needs to be 3 separate attempts to fix the same issue that will force the manufacturer buy back.

I would also be careful throwing this term around at the dealership. Give them an opportunity to fix it or make it right. These things happen, you just got unlucky. As soon as you start saying lemon law or anything with legalities involved, you will see their capacity to help you will be greatly diminished.

Thanks for the feedback. Florida's lemon law says if the vehicle has been out of service for 15 days, you can file.

Just me, but I would not be cutting bait after 15 days and going the Lemon law route if I thought they could get a handle on it if needing a couple more weeks.

Your truck is a 2019? Fl lemon law only covers the first 24 months starting from date of delivery. I had to lemon law a then new 2019 Chevy Colorado due to tranny issues. It was in the shop a total of 50 days in the first 6 months. As someone else mentioned, don't say the words lemon law in the dealership or they'll start giving you the runaround. Google FL lemon law and you'll see what you have to do but again, don't mention lemon law!!!

OP, you need to clarify. Is it a new Ranger, as 2024, or is it new to you because his bio says 2019 Ranger.
My guess is the bio is wrong and it really is a 2024.

If it's new, warranty and lemon laws apply.
If it's really a 2019, OP is out of pocket on repairs.
Fluids being at the correct level doesn't eliminate transmission, transfer case, differential, turbo or bearing failures. I would think that if it's one of those, you would notice a change in pitch with change in vehicle and engine speeds.

Have a read through the thread titled whistling noise. That doesn't capture the actual sound but it's a significant defect that had a noise. I ended up getting my front driveshaft replaced at 2000km.

Finally got my truck back after 26 days in shop. Boiled down to replacing both front hubs after only 1700 miles. Took care of the noise.
