Infotainment screen boots to the phone contact list instead of the navigation map

2024 RR with only 10k. Like every other ford i had, this one loaded up the navigation map on startup, right up to 2 month ago. It now boots up to my phone contact list every time instead of the map. Done a soft reset twice and a factory reset without luck. Even with the phone off, it loads the screen where it wants me to pick one of the 2 phones paired with the truck. Had it at the dealer this morning and they done a factory reset on the APIM module. That did the trick till i got home. Just wondering if anybody else is having, or had this problem.

I hate this change as well. I assumed this was part of one of the recent updates as it started doing that a couple months ago for me too.

I keep my iPhone hardwired so it can use the truck Wi-Fi. In the cases where I haven't connected the phone yet, it goes to the phone select screen and you have to press the X on the top of the screen to see the Radio/Nav buttons. In the past, I'm pretty sure it would default to the Radio or Nav if the phone wasn't connected (whatever was used last).

So, i'm not alone in this......You're right.....it does seem to me that this started after a OTA update, and i told that the dealer as well. Made another appointment for monday. See what happens. Just figured i cant be the only one......and i'm not. Have you had your dealer look at it?

No to dealer looking at it. Just seemed to be a dumb design choice by the Sync team. Doesn't seem like it would be anything the dealer can fix. Would have to be corrected with new update.

Interesting. And are you using CarPlay? Mine will connect to CarPlay and then go to that screen. I don't really use the factory nav or other sync features, only CarPlay (wireless)

Mine started doing the same thing. It used to always start on what I last used, so usually SiriusXM or bluetooth audio.

I believe you're right, but unless we take it to dealers to at least document the issue so FOMO is aware of it and hopefully pushes another OTA with a fix our way.

Sure would be nice to have the option to choose our default screen. Wifes Aviator boots to the "home screen", the one with all the buttons every time. Always has done that. My RR however has always loaded the nav screen by default, till the last OTA update. Now, the contact list is loded by default. Looks like a kink in the update.....

Same here. Connects right to Carplay.

Not using carplay or andriod auto here, just the factory navigation.

Have the same problem after answering call with touch screen. After using touch screen to end call, recent phone call list appears and the only to back to nav screen is by selecting the nav icon. Stopped off at home depot and the call list screen appeared, had to select the nav icon to get back the the nav screen, This happen for the next few starts/stops before defaulting to the nav screen when start up.

The bug's there....just not showing itself all the time. When did this happen to you? Do you have a RR?
