Just followed Kyles tutorial on YouTube (flaberdoopin) and spent about 2.5 hours doing the sound deadening in all my doors. Hardest part was literally removing the door panels. You feel like you're pulling a ton and will break them but they don't. You just have to start from the bottom and work your way around. I started taking pictures but then got in the zone and forgot as I was putting things back together. Here's the front driver's door at least. The rear doors are much easier in that they only have a couple clips compared to the fronts that have four. I bought one box of the siless max 3mm and one box of the siless hybrid 3-1. I have a ton leftover. I used 4 pieces of the max on each door and one piece of the hybrid directly behind the speakers.

Yes, doors sound more solid when closing. The audio is much better now. Not amazing, but much better. I can hear more separation between mids and highs, with more details in the highs. The bass is the weak point. It's deeper but still muddy without any punch. A speaker upgrade is definitely in the future.

Get the sound deadening panels? From Amazon.
Ah, now I see the panels you're talking about. Inside the door. I'm getting my wife's Ranger Raptor undercoated and now that I see this I'll have them spray the whole inside of the door. Thanks for sharing !

About a year or so ago I did this to my Explorer ST and I put all Focal speakers at the same time as the sound deadening. It sounds night and day better.

I like focal too. If there's direct replacements from them I would consider that.

After playing some Techmaster PEB, I'm actually thinking opposite of you here. The things that seem to need dampening are the door card, pockets and handles. That's what is noticeably vibrating in my truck, at least. Inside the door frames I'd be more inclined to install foam mats and fill to absorb and diffuse rear firing sound waves.

Is it just me, or does the center speaker seem to have a ton of bass output and focuses the soundstage dead center instead of letting it float left-right?

Interesting, I never noticed any vibrations in my door cards, but I never really pushed my system too hard. That being said, after doing the sound dampening in the doors I dont feel or hear anything vibrating still when I did try pushing it.

I do have a JL stealth sub on the way, so Ill have a chance to make everything rattle in the truck.

You had me at Techmaster PEB! 😍

I feel like I'm back in high school. 🥰

I have egg crate foam to put behind the speakers and I'll be securing the door cards as best I can. Fasteners, clips, and anything loose will rattle on those, nothing little strips of sound deadener won't fix. I think you're on the right track.
