Installed the Raptor style grille!

Put it in last night while I was at work (diesel mechanic) and had some downtime.

I am really liking the look, I had thought about painting the FORD letters the same gloss black that is on a lot of the trim pieces on the truck, but I kind of like the contrast it has now.

Just waiting on the wiring harness from F150LEDs to connect the lights.

why buy a sepperate harness? ford provides 3 blunt cut wires under the bcm/trm behind the driver side kick panel, a ignition trigger, a marker light trigger, and a high beam trigger. run a wire out throught the use them to power htommet like they show, and use that the lights. they are powering my grill lights off the marker, and my Diode Dynamics D-Switch uses all 3. the ignition to turn on and off with the truck(besides being able to hit a bitton on keypad and use while truck is off) the high beam on 1 of the programable trigger wires to automatically turn on my light bar with my high beams. and the marker trigger to turn on night mode on the d switch(once I get my dd light bars, will tell the d-switch to turn on the back lighting on the bars/cubes) aswell and like I said turns on my grill lights, and the backlighting of my fog lights.

I just bought a Raptor grill today, and Ford said they will install it for me… it wasn’t cheap however!

I live in Willis! I found the grille on Ebay and purchased it there!

I was unaware of this! I already purchased the harness, however I will keep this information handy for future reference!

It was multiple pieces, the letters have to be put on (which is actually handy if you want to paint them), the lights have to be mounted in, and a few clips and trim pieces have to be attached, all of the hardware needed was included though.

The original grille is undamaged save for one of the bottom clips because for some reason my license plate bracket was riveted on and cannot be removed without removing the rivets, which I did not want to do.

Yes, I still have all my fingers, I'm a diesel mechanic so I have a bunch of tools already and am no stranger to doing stuff like this.

I have viewed Ford's parts list for the grille and it looks like there is a top piece, a middle piece and a bottom piece.
Not as easy as the Raptor grille we installed in our 2019. Did have a problem with one of the lower clips there which caused the first aid kit to be opened.

The grille from the actual Raptor will not fit the other model Rangers, it is shaped different because the Raptors have a different bumper.

I was thinking the other day that with a Raptor style grill and some smooth oe style black fender flairs , maybe a set of Bronco SAS +30 offset rims 33” tires , and especially on a BAP Ranger it would be hard to tell them apart from a Raptor, especially at any sort of distance.
