I was looking at it. Should be plug and play. 1200 w/o core to send back, they might accept the 8" as a core, don't know. Then it would be about 800. Or have to wait for a wrecked Lariat. would be a worthwhile option. I hate the Temp and Gas gauge on the sides of the 8" display. 12" Should be standard ont he XLT and above.

done, installed, upgraded. works like a charm, excellent upgrade!!do not know why ford does not give it as an optional at purchase...
one stupid question as I am new to the 12" cluster...the center display where all the different info pops up, it always needs to display something right?in the 8" it was always on demand

If you’re asking if the center screen can be blank, you are correct it has to always display something.

Couple of questions. So. RAranger is in Aus, did they configure the display for you, and what was the shipping cost above the cost of the panel? Can you give a step by step removal order for the interior panels? any other tips, ect? Thanks, Chris.

Yes they are in AU. Shipment was pricey but I used my company FedEx account to get it highly discounted. It took a week for shipment.
Yes I have given my VIN, my odometer and the drive mode, that’s all you need. If you have forescan you can do on your own. All settings are kept, just lost the engine hours.
Removal is pretty simply. Take apart the door seal, then remove the small plastic panel on the side (no screw). Then lower the steering wheel and get access to the small cover on top of it, pull and remove..it retains the harness that brings lights in the side small box, you just need to remove the harness from the clips.
Then open the big panel that covers the fuse. Unscrew the small screw on the side and pop out the entire cover of the dashboard. Goes from the vent window on the side across the cluster next to the central big screen. Detach the small cable that sits behind the light control panel and remove the full cover. Then the instrument cluster is exposed; 4 screws and it pops out. One connector, remove it and plug in the new cluster. Done. Reverse for installation, all works. Took me 10min

The redline on the Tach is too low. Almost like it was for the Aus diesel. I believe it's configuable in Forscan. Contact the co. that configed it.

Not sure what you mean by that, how should it be different?I have seen only this type of tach in the v6 diesel platinum
