You could do that. The clear coat provides significant UV protection. Covering up the beautiful carbon finish would be sad from our side.i would imagine its not terribly expensive to have someone paint it at a person's local body shop when they got one of these home.
i would try to do some type of color coating also just for the uv protection. i know you guys clear coat probably has uv protection in it but i would still want to a color on top for long term protection
I totally understand the sun hammering things. Another option to consider is a ceramic coating that could be reapplied annually or every couple years. I do it myself on all of my vehicles here in CO, and it seems to get around two years of solid protection before the coating starts to break down.i love the look of carbon too but its a large expense, purchasing a new topper, so i would have to do as much as possible to preserve it.
the south texas sun just beats everything down. people's paint on the top facing surfaces of their vehicles fails early here is why i would be worried more about the carbon
Appreciate that! You should see the pre-order and reservation options available now!the turret thing is a sick idea. The vibe is on point with my lifestyle. you Colorado guys really coming out with some great stuff. I'm looking to get rid of my soft topper due to fear of theft. I know you said nov. 1st possibly out but I just checked your website and I see nothing. any idea when I could have this on my truck because I want to pick something up relatively soon.
It’s under the purchase tab you will see the two pathways to order.Appreciate that! You should see the pre-order and reservation options available now!
Thank you, we have done everything we can on our end to make the pricing attainable. For founders edition units, they will start at $7650 with the launch discount. The cost of US labor, US engineering, US manufacturing, and direct to consumer shipping, there is nothing cheap about it. We want to be able to proudly stand behind our values and quality and we hope you see that reflected in our product.Beautiful cap. While I understand carbon fiber is expensive, $9500 is a hard pill to swallow.
We appreciate your understanding and will definitely be using that line in the future. It's a premium product for sure, I was actually thinking $10k based on the $1K down payment so not that surprised. Must be compared to the most expensive Ford Accessories part, the Leer commercial topper at $5k and 208LB's. As Keith Bontrager said, cheap/light/strong... Pick two!
We’re sure it will be! So many incredible builds to check out. You get an awesome vantage point of the west hall from the turret hatch!Hopefully be a good crowd there!
