So I have a chance to choose a RR on a dealer lot built like I want or just wait on the order I placed two weeks ago (no markup btw). The RR on the the lot is fully optioned with bead lock wheels at $59,805. The dealer is doing a $5000 markup and I told him I wouldn't do a markup. They sent an invoice for me to look at with what looks like a $2500 markup and some dealer options and asked me to look it over and cross out what I didn't like.

Obviously I'm going to contest the $2500, but what are the other options (highlighted), and why are they charging $699.00, for bedliner when the factory does it at $495?

Does the window sticker list the factory bed liner? If it’s on the window sticker, then it’s a clear scam, if not, then $699 for an after market spray in liner is not a horrible price. Everything else listed should be deleted… Frankly, they sound shady and I would probably just walk away on principal.

It’s like 200$ nitrogen filled tires they’re fluffy warranties and add ons that thee dealership makes a strong profit on.

I had a similar dilemma as you, only I had ordered an XLT when a similar XLT Ranger arrived as a stock order on my dealers lot. I ended up purchasing the dealer ordered XLT because I was tired of waiting for the truck I had ordered.

My dealerships body shop does spray in bed liners, same price as what is in your quote, $700 installed. I actually prefer the dealership installed bed liners as the texture and finish seems to be better than factory IMO, plus I’ve had several bed liners installed by my dealer and they do really good work. I’d pay the $200 extra if you feel your dealership will do a decent job for you. The extra cost I am sure is for labor, as the body shop tech needs to scuff the finish, mask everything off, and prep the bed. This process is rather labor intensive, and I am sure there is some dealer markup, but in my opinion the extra cost is worth it.

What is lifetime window tint? All of the vehicles I’ve owned with window tint it seems to have stayed in place without any issues, and never experienced any damage requiring a warranty repair. I would forgo this fee if you can as that seems excessive.

Appearance Protection. I am guessing this a ceramic coat on the finish? I am using the ceramic coat term loosely here by a dealership. I have seen some really bad ceramic coatings from dealerships. Once that stuff is on the finish and it is not done correctly, you’re basically stuck with it until it wears off in a couple years. If you’re wanting your vehicle ceramic coated, save your money and take your truck to quality auto detailer. I would forgo the dealer markup on that option.

Dent Protection. I have not seen that offering before, so I don’t have much advice for you on this one.

Best of luck in the purchase of your Raptor. Whichever option you choose, I am sure you will be happy once your new truck is parked on your driveway.

Thats basically a 5000$ markup with insurance products and market adjustments. I would just wait for your build. 5000$ is like an extra year of payments for most people.

I’m in the same boat at you. I work part time for a dealership and ordered through them and am getting it at msrp, no market adjustments, added “protection” packages, etc, but have been looking (even out of state) for the same build but everyone at least down south here wants a $5000 markup fee plus extra BS that I don’t care for.

probably going to just wait for my order since it’s going to be the better price in the end, I’ll just feel a whole lot more comfortable when I get that vin and build date.
I’m hoping with the strike being over that the wait time isn’t ridiculous like some people in this forum have said but we’ll see.

You can find one at MSRP no mandatory options all over, keep searching.
Not so sure about that, been looking within 1500 miles of Oregon for a VBM RR and even ones showing MSRP listings want crazy ADM when you talk to them. I’ve tried negotiating on 3 others and no one would budge to MSRP. I’ll just keep waiting for my original order and hope Ford finds a way to ship it finally.

It says they are 'Purchase Option' so just ask them to take it off. I had a dealer include the same thing and they took it off with no issue. They may just inserted it hoping you just go along with it.

Go to ' Ford Finder (No Markups) ' Facebook group and join. RR at MSRP are coming up more and more frequently. Looks like 4 were posted yesterday, just need to be willing to take a fun road trip in your new truck. I started my search 4/1, had multiple with deposits at MSRP. Put a deposit down on one 5/20 that was already in route to dealership, picked it up in June. They are definitely out there at MSRP.

Reach out to Fremont Cody Ford in WY. I had a deposit on the next allocation and pulled it when I found another. May still have it available and should be picked up soon if not already.

Maybe either Dan's or the one in Wyoming will work for OP ... I've stuck it out this long for Velocity Blue and am set on it. Of course this narrows options considerably.

The manager called me at 8am and advised it was sold last night.
