I have less than 700 miles on my 24 RR (US), and these are the issues I'm having so far:
  • Neither of the keys from the fobs work in my glove box. Wrong glove box lock cylinder? Defective lock cylinder? - Upcoming appt. with dealership. Fixed by turning the key really hard, trying not to break it. Thanks to Parknas54.
  • It's been throwing a "Restraints Indicator Lamp Warning: The restraints control module has detected a fault with the passenger side air curtain circuit." Loose wire? Bad control module? - Upcoming appt. with dealership.
  • It has a rough idle when sitting in park, even after warming up. It'll shudder intermittently and shake the passenger seat. It feels like it's trying to idle too low, or miss-firing. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's worse. I don't hear anything at cold startup that may indicate cam phaser isssues... yet. This "normal?" - Upcoming appt. with dealership.
  • Rough ride. It's like you're constantly running over cracks in the road, regardless of road type/quality. Feels like it's coming from the rear. Front end feels pretty smooth. I've had trucks with stock shocks that were rough in the rear, especially without weight, but it was just an amplification of road deformities (cracks, dips, etc). This feels like it's doing it on every surface type. Tire deformity? Just me? Here's a post that also seems to describe this: https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/thre...ularly-from-the-rear-tyres-out-of-round.8209/
  • It doesn't feel like the shock damper modes change anything. Every time I cycle through the modes, I can never tell much of a difference, if any, both on and off road. I was in Off-Road mode on a dirt road, and at around 40mph I hit some small, washboardy pot holes. I was nearly bounced/vibrated into the ditch. It feels like the shocks are way too stiff all of the time, no matter what mode I'm in. I have the tires at 35 rear, 37 front (cold). I've also had them at 39 all around, and even 44 all around when I first picked it up. Tire pressure doesn't seem to make a difference. Maybe this is just me?
Neither of my previous new vehicles have had ANY issues (2013 Hyundai Elantra GT and 2018 Toyota Highlander), quality or functional. I also picked up a used car with 50k miles and guess what? Zero issues or quality concerns.

I'm kind of... shocked by the issues I've had/am having with this truck so far. Especially compared to the experiences I've had with other new vehicles.

Here's a few other issues I've had and fixed that I didn't post above.
  • Hood was hard to close, then impossible to close. Raised the hood latch as far up as it would go. And I had to twist the hood a bit to get it even on both sides.
  • The RR button stop working and had to disconnect the battery. Hasn't happened since.
  • The infotainment system crapped out once with some awful feedback noise from the speakers when switching menus. Had to turn the truck off and on again to fix that. Hasn't happened since.

Pretty recent. I can't say I'm having any of those issues. Mine was 7/12.

I absolutely love the truck and the surprising mileage it's capable of.
I WANT to absolutely love this truck. But these things are making it difficult.

Just to be clear, yours idles and rides smooth? You can feel a noticeable difference in shock dampening in different modes? My fear is that my dealership is going to tell me it's "normal."

I'm mostly in normal around town and sport feels firmer as it should. Off road I can't say I've really experienced enough to comment. Runs fantastic, the first 7-800 miles the vibration that shook the passenger seat while in motion went away after the AT K03s broke in. Stay positive and give it some patience.

I feel the same way about the ride. What are your tire pressures at? I lowered mine quite alot and it is much improved. I had to use Forscan to lower the TPMS low pressure point to get rid of the light.

I also plan to get some lighter 2 ply tires at some point with slightly more road-friendly tread. I think that and lighter wheels would get it where I want.

I also agree the damper settings are not dramatic enough. I can feel the sport setting but normal and off-road feel pretty similar. Maybe there is a difference in the extremes of the travel range?

I'd have paid good money for a comfort option...that actually made a difference.

I'm running 35 rear, 37 front (cold) at the moment. I tried 39 all around first (after lowering it from the 44 from the dealer). I feel like it's gotten worse, but that could just be me becoming more perceptive of it over time. I also don't notice the bumpy, "running over cracks" feeling as bad, or at all, when accelerating moderately, and I seem to feel it more when decelerating.

Yeah man I’m not having any of these issues and my build date was 6/15. You might have a lemon unfortunately.

the ride is a little stiff/ bumpy but mine is from the ko3s not the suspension.

On the bright side, at lease you have the truck. (Same with a couple others on this thread with June/July build dates.)

Mine has been on quality hold since 6/14...and neither Ford marketing or my dealer can provide any updates/info. (The dealer is a good one, and he's trying to get info, but nobody at Ford is helping.)

I just experienced the feedback issue this past week for the first time with 3700 miles on mine. Restarting the vehicle also solved it for me.

I agree about the suspension modes being hard to discern. I can notice that sport is a bit stiffer than normal/off-road when making aggressive maneuvers. I've noticed offroad is a bit better when driving through very bumpy surfaces.

I've randomly had the rough idle including when not in park.

Ugh, that's a sentence no one wants to hear. Hopefully my ride issues are just tires. I have an appt. with the dealership soon, so we'll see. The restraints control module issue is highest priority. Then glove box lock. The ride and idle are things that technically still work, at least.

Hopefully you'll end up getting a good build, and any quality issues fixed. Mine probably should have been on quality hold longer, if it ever was... 😅.

I have same complaints regarding rough ride. Took the truck for a 2000mile road trip in 3 days, I feel even on flat pavement roads, little bumps or vibrates got amplified into cabin. I also think the seats are not comfortable. They are too narrow on width and the seat cushion is too hard. Sitting on it is like sitting on airline economy seats. Beside that, the truck is perfect to me.
