These little "clips" everyone speaks of, how was that handled? Just order from Ford Parts and wait longer or would a local dealer/parts store carry these? Thx!

the clips everyone is talking about are on the XLT trim piece that you remove to get at the screws behind it. You don’t need replacements, you just want to find all 9 of them so you don’t have a rattle when you are done.

Maybe you are confused. The matching driver side panel is around $120
Or, the price of the glove box, the XLT panel and shipping is about $117.
I ordered the box and the XLT panel and then decided not to try to put the XLT panel on.

The post immediately above my post saying “l’m confused” literally says this mod “cost $50”.

It looks like N1WZ-2606202-LA is lariat specific. Part # N1WZ-2606202-YA is for the XLT according to what I'm seeing. So , same price, but not leather.

I didn't look too closely into part numbers and how the parts differ but my guess is that xlt number does not have the glovebox and is in fact the part we are removing to put in the lariat part that has a glovebox.

If that is the case, maybe the YA will have the plastic cover and better color matching! Any Guinea pigs?

when you look at the associated exploded diagram (part #4)with the YA number, it’s the same as the LA diagram/#part designation. The only reason I even saw this version is the vendor recommended the YA version after I inputted my (XLT)VIN.

I wonder if it is the glove box, or just the blank like we currently have in the XLT. Won’t know until someone orders it, I guess.

Looks like the blank to me. Well...nvm. It is the same part diagram as t he LA part number.

I would bet that the XLT part is what we have (had) on our trucks. I have never seen anyone claim to have a glove box on an XLT from the factory. Being the guinea pig is “expensive”. It is a special order part so most dealers charge a 20% restock fee plus you eat shipping both ways.
I ordered the leather surround for the driver side. Looks like it is going to be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully it is Lariat dark gray (?) and matches the glove box side.

Just my luck. I order a couple of days ago and received an email back stating this part is on backorder. Money has been refunded. Checked several other sites. Same thing - backordered. Arrrrrgggghhhhh. This sux.
