This ^ - Try to stick to SL load rating if possible which is probably the softest option.Make sure you buy tires that are no more than Load C, which the OEM KO3s are, some of the versions are Load D. You need neither the extra load carrying capacity nor the ride harshness of a tire with stiffer sidewalls. I never had any problems with ride quality, but they are not safe in wet weather, I always go in 4A when the roads are slick, but you do not have that option.
Why did you buy a 2wd truck in the first place?

I'm currently stuck between Falken WildPeak A/T4W and Nitto Terra Grappler G3 in 285/70R17. Might go Nitto Terra Grappler G3 since they are 5 pounds light each and they scored excellent in dry and wet conditions in Tire Rack's testing (they didnt do too well in snow though)
