Bought my new to me Ranger Raptor and realized it’s low on coolant.

Anyone else had to add coolant within the first year of ownership?

Not a big deal, just never had to add coolant. Not at 13,000 miles.

Anyone else? I’ll check it when hot too and see after it expands, where it sits.

Maybe need to check level after engine is warmed up. I haven't confirmed this in the manual myself.

*EDIT*
Looks like you check with the engine cold. See page 408.

Sometimes the fluid gets sucked up into the engine and it takes a bit to level out. let it sit for a few hours maybe? It's hard to tell from your photos but it looks like it's right at the min line, which I would personally think is OK.

Thank you for digging this up for me! I was just about to download the service manual and start reading.

My Bronco lost a tiny bit of coolant. Mechanic said it was normal on new engine. Filled up to full mark after it sat for a day. Haven’t had to fill it since in over 2 years. Watching my Raptor now. See how it goes.

My Raptor had 2,100 miles and coolant was at the brewery minimum level. I got a gallon of the coolant for the Ranger raptor and added. Haven’t checked it a few weeks - so sounds like a stranded practice.

My fx4 was below the min level, brand new. Factory oversight. Had dealer top it off, good to go.... At 8k now
