My truck recently received damage resulting in a gouge in the bed (outside body). I ordered touch up paint with the correct paint code (M7). However it doesn't match, it's considerably darker. Has anyone else seen this problem? Do I need to get the paint from Ford?

Where did you source the paint? I had a similar issue (I thought) with a Subaru Autumn Green touchup bought through AutomotiveTouchup.com. As it turns out, you really had to mix the paint well before using. I know the bottles are small, but use a screw (head side down) to thoroughly stir it before using.

I bought kit by Gen2Magic, it had good reviews on Amazon. It came with a bunch of stuff including clear coat. Not surprisingly, clear coat with a brush leaves a less than desirable coating. Perhaps, I just need to remind myself this is a truck and scratches and dings are inevitable.
