It sounds like your wife is a hard sell!

When I started looking for a Ranger Raptor, I could not find one in stock or either they were already sold. I started looking around at other trucks, the new Stroppe edition Bronco, Mojave Gladiator, and F150’s.

My Wife told me to stop looking at other trucks get what I want, the Ranger Raptor. So I ordered one, but eventually found one identical to what I ordered and I went ahead and bought it.

l’m lucky, my wife supported me in finding what I wanted.

Final update for this thread. I lost. For now. She is convinced that I’ll hat having at truck. Reasons: no storage (hatch/trunk), impractical for daily driving, and not performance related (Coming from BMWs).

I ended up closing on an ‘24 x3 m40i. The last of the great x3 models considering the path that are headed.

All is not lost. I have a plan. Get this, look at selling her x5 in the future, she takes over the x3, sell the x5 and re visit the RR. Maybe it will be refreshed like its big brother. Not that it’s needed, but some meaner styling and a HUD would be cool.

I’m going to continue to follow this forum to keep tabs on what’s happening. Thanks for your help on this matter.

down, but not out.

I know I will. Trust me, I’m not crying. I just felt ready for a change. but it’s not like they’re going to stop making them.

Fear not: have a plan.

Well, I was facing an immovable force on this one. I ended up getting an amazing x3m40i. Later that day I began to regret it. While fantastic to drive, it just didn’t fit. I summed it up with: “it’s a great car. Just not great for me, now.”

What spinning my noodle is, In what universe would someone not be thrilled with their significant other was pushing for a performance automobile? I guess I can answer this question now. This one. Right now.

I do have a plan. But it’s going to take some time.

Maybe you needed the M variant. Saw a nice X3 M Competition, 500hp sounds fun! Sadly I’m at 455 and feeling left out? Nah I love it.
