Because if the Platinum has cooled seats, and if the F-150 Sport has cooled seats, then a 50k Ranger Lariat can have cooled seats.

The no cooled seats were the one thing that almost kept me from getting the Ranger

I do agree about the ventilated seats. And a sun roof and a trim above lariat.

I was just making a point that there was not always ventilated seats and coming from a 2019 F150 Platinum I totally agree at this price point there should be more but we know mid size trucks seem to be a step child so we can all go "can I have some more please".

and to be fair the other mid-size truck(Tacoma) that does have ventilated seats has a higher price point than the Ranger.

Agree but I would understand paying more for say a Platinum trim Ranger with all the goodies.
Or a tremor trim with goodies. Lariat should have offered Ventilated seat, sunroof as an option and left those who wanted those options the choice.

Dealership just called and said they started up a few other Rangers and the sound is the same. Technician says it's the fuel injectors. Apparently they used to come with some sort of dampening that would reduce the noise and that's been removed in the 2024's. They are checking to see if there is an update that can be applied to reduce the sound.

Folks on the Bronco forum complain about the same 2.3 noise.

Cool story, but I'm not sure why you're quoting me, I'm not OP. This truck has a 10 speed Auto, not 12, and the seats are not real leather, it's called ActiveX. It's Ford's approach to "sustainability." Which essentially just means we pay more to sit on repurposed plastic bottles. And with no seat cooling option, these things are probably going to be positively nuclear in the summer.

I was responding didn't realize it was responding to your post. Yes I meant 10spd it's available on Wildtrack and only option on Raptor. Haven't noticed the seat extremely hot, but I try not to park in direct sunlight. AirCond takes care of it.

Remote start from the phone app should solve the seat issue.

Really disappointed with the issues I've had so far. Dealership refusing to remove packing material between cab and bed, drivetrain looking like they ran out of driveshafts and grabbed one that had been sitting out in the rain and snow for a couple of years and the dealership saying ya...that looks normal to us. When I pay over 50k for a new truck waiting a year for it to come in, I don't expect it to be in this condition aaaaaannnnd now this... Can't wait to hear "Ya this is the way the new trucks are supposed to sound!" My 2.3L ecoboost in my Focus ST was whisper quiet

Even when it idles down you can still sort of hear the knocking. Barely a week old and just crossed 500 miles. Never been this disappointed with a vehicle purchase.

That sounds pretty normal for the 2.3 I think you're ok.

That's a little louder than my '24 but the' 22 we have is very loud and in line with others I've heard. Between the cooling fan and the HP pump it's a lot. Having said that, the '18 Explorer we had with the 2.3 was very quiet so it is confusing why the difference.

Ya my ‘17 focus ST was so quiet, it’s crazy

the master tech there said they used to put sound dampeners and stopped doing it which is why it’s so loud now not a fan

The ST also has a 2.0 engine vs the 2.3 in the Ranger.
