I ordered mid June don't know if I am scheduled as Canada's update system is slow...we don't get any emails either.

Here is a picture of the street-view where I placed my order:
Ford Ranger Order Date - Build Date 1693225303900

I'd say more auto-mall than mom n pop.

@jedadiah @Wisdumb
What's the size of the dealers yall ordered from? Are we talking an auto mall or a local mom & pop single lot?
My dealer is pretty big, but I do think I may have been the first to order a Ranger there. The salesman was super helpful, but didn't know you could yet. I did the whole process with the sales manager. I didn't ask them what they are doing about their Raptor allocations though because it didn't come up. I will though next time I do. It wouldn't surprise me if many dealers are not promising them to anyone, so that they can let the market play out.

I ordered mine (XLT, FX4, etc) on 5 June from our local, large dealer. I received an order confirmation email and number the same day, but as if now (28 August), no VIN or build date yet.

I ordered my RR day 1 (5/26) within hours of the banks opening. Priority code 10. Haven't been scheduled yet and I'm expecting yet another generic 45 day email soon.

man scheduling is just throwing darts at a board huh?
There must be some sort of rhyme or reason depending on your dealer, features and production planning - but from our perspective, I'm guessing it might as well be a dart throw.

For the first allocation, dealers choose which Raptor in their bank they want to have built. Just because you were first in line (which I was too) doesn't mean you will get assigned the first allocation. There are many reasons for this. The main reasons is usually because of greed. It benefits them having their first Raptor as a stock order, so they can mark it up a lot. It could also be because a VIP, Owner, owner's family member, etc. wants it. In either of those cases, they aren't going to tell you that is the reason because it makes them look bad. It sounds a lot better if they just tell you they don't have any allocations.

The people who got scheduled, are lucky in a way, because their dealers truly committed their first allocation to them. I know some of them did indeed agree to pay an ADM, but others actually got a good dealer. But as you can see, those people are few and far in between. There's how many people on this forum, and probably only 10 people got scheduled for their RR? So don't worry, you are part of the majority, not the minority here.

Just because you haven’t been scheduled does not mean you aren’t getting the first allocation. It just means you haven’t been picked for scheduling yet. There are lots of allocations that haven’t been scheduled yet.

Thanks for all the 411. It puts my mind at ease a bit. This is my first custom order, my first Ford, my first anything newer than 5 years old.

I think/hope I got a "good dealer" as they were happy to put in my retail order with no markup. They said they only had one allocation. Maybe they meant they had only one retail allocation? Either way I can't really fault them if they get their hands on a stock order first, that's just business.
