Ordered from my dealer today a 2026 Lariat with a few extras and already got the order confirmation from Ford so good on my dealer for getting it there today as they said they would.
Now the looooooong wait begins.

2.7l 4X4, Velocity Blue(w/ clear coat), chrome appearance pkg (I'm old school, I like chrome), rear locker, black running boards, rigid folding tonneau cover, advanced towing pkg, spray-in bedliner, box side step and the convenience pkg.

I test drove a 2025 with the 2.3 they had on lot, very nice little truck, much nicer than the 86' ranger I once had(loved that truck)

Oh I don't expect to see it until late spring, they don't even start to build them until mid January.

Order confirmation is not order allocation! Make sure your dealer gets an allocation as soon as possible. There are a ton of post about this!

Yes, this dealer is a very large one and I have ordered from them before, 3 years ago for the f350.

Just got an update text from Ford;
Ford Update: We expect to begin building your Ranger the week of January 19, 2026. We'll update you if that changes.
So that was a nice surprise this morning, moving right along.

I got my window sticker over the weekend with blend date 1/23, I was very excited until I see the "2.3l" engine listed. I ordered A 2.7l. Seems the sales manager made a mistake, it happens, He immediately put a new order in today with high priority (I didn't ask what number). They are a very good high volume dealer that I have bought 3 vehicles from and they are good people to deal with.
I did get the order confirmation letter not more than 5 mins. after the phone call, So I start the wait all over again I guess.
