PRNDL doesn’t light up in the dark?

I noticed the PRNDM doesn’t light up in the dark? I’m not sure if it’s meant to in the first place. Does anyone else have this issue?

Those don't look like they are supposed to light up?
The PRNDM on my Raptor lights up but on mine the PRNDM is on the shifter handle, not on the console like yours.

Ah yeah I guess it’s probably not meant to light up…seems like a shortcoming on Ford’s part in my opinion.

Noticed that also and went down a rabbit hole trying to figure it out on my XL. The wiring schematics suggest some type of illumination going to the selector but I have not figure it out exactly. Thought maybe it was for the +/- gear selector button but that does not illuminate also for me.

Makes me wonder if it was a last minute decontent when they went to production?
