Procal Tuner and warranty

I’m sure this has been answered somewhere else, but I can’t seem to find it. I have a 2025 on order and I’m curious about the Procal but I’m still confused about how the warranty is effected by it if a dealer installs it. it seems to me that it replaces the factory five year 60,000 power train with a three year 36,000 specific to damages related to the tune, but I’m not sure.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It doesnt replace your 5 year warranty, it just adds warranty for issues that could be caused by the tuner.

I dont know what issues they are talking about though, maybe if your ecu kills over or something?

The dealer installed mine and its been trouble free so i will have no use for that 3 year warranty, i bet

Does it not void the factory warranty since it’s technically aftermarket?

Nope, the 3yr/36K warranty offered by FORD Performance; is on their Procal tool and the tune only. Has nothing to do with the factory OEM warranty, nor does it take its place or void any part. The FP tune is the only authorized and accepted tune from Ford.

If you have an extended factory warranty, it doesn’t affect it either. Already went thru this with FP direct and Ford Warranty direct.

The direct email from FP Supervisor; is posted in a very long FP tune thread from the past.

I dont even have the truck yet. I have a 2025 on order, and hoping they approve the tune by the time mines ready so the dealer can install it

I believe the 3/36,000 is only with dealer install…had mine done at the dealer and the 36,000 is your total miles not from when you add it.

The tune is already approved for 2025 trucks.

That's the way I understand it.
It has to be installed by Ford or any ASE certified shop.
The warranty starts at day 1, mile 0 of the truck, not when you install the tune. So, don't expect to get the full 3yr/36K warranty on the device/tune if you install at year 2, or mile 20K.

• Comes with Ford Performance 3yr/36k mile warranty from new vehicle in-service when installed by a Ford dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technician

It's already been approved. They are good to go on 2025 ranger raptor. Ford performance though is currently sold out of the tuners and on back order.

Good to know! I still don’t even have a build date, so I’ve got a whole until I get the truck and break it in before I have to worry about finding a tuner in stock.
