I could never get anything to stick to the plastic, when it got hot in the truck the bonding tape would release.

so I ditched my clip to hold the seat belt and wrapped it around the child restraint attachment underneath

that works temporarily so I zip tied it

and now I have some Velcro instead so it is easier to release.

i also have it buckled because I had an issue late at night where a passenger in the rear got confused about where to buckle as the two buckles are right next to each other

I attached a clip to hold the belt back so it lays flat.

Whenever I get something from China with double sided tape I always scrape it off and replace it with 3M VHB or Nano tape. 3M is permanent, Nano is removable yet stays put till you remove it, which takes a lot of pulling. Nano also leave no residue.

Another way to secure the rear center seat belt out of the way is using a piece of aluminum to hook the seat belt behind. It bolts to the existing bracket, as the studs are long enough add it.

i got this idea from a previous post here. I looked for it to give credit where credit is due. But since I canโ€™t find that post, I thank the the OP here.

Now that is a nice idea. I might steal that... seems simple enough to fabricate

I remember seeing his post! Love this idea but I'm no metal worker. I have no idea where I'd find the aluminum and properly bend it...

I just took those two headrest right out of the truck and stored them in my home. Now I have an unobstructed view while using the rear view mirror ?
Remove the headrests, and they tuck in to the pouches on the back of the front seats quite nicely. Unobstructed view through the rear window. In the rare event that I have a passenger riding in the back seat, just slip the one on the passengerโ€™s side back in place. Best of both worlds.
