So my Ranger Raptor finally got delivered to the dealership. The following was not correct with the the truck,

Passenger side "Raptor" decal crooked (Removing anyway)
Driver's side fender to hood was off (Dealer adjusted fender, all good).
Driver's side tail light jammed up against paint at top (Luckly didn't chip or damage finish, dealer adjusted tailight)
Paint chip on front passenger side corner of fender above headlight, looks like is occurred during installation of headlight (Sent to body shop).
(2) very obvious Fish eyes in the paint, one on hood and one on passenger rear quarter panel just below the tail light (Sent to body shop).

At this point I refused delivery of the vehicle until I see the paint work has been fixed correctly.

On a good note, my dealership has been great to work with and agree that these items should have been caught at the factory. Also, I got to drive the vehicle and absolutly love it. I tested every function and it appears to work as it should. Kind of bummed out, because of the issues, however the dealership is confident that the paint repairs will be fixed without any issues.

My driver’s side fender to hood is off, also.
I’ve also noticed some paint imperfections. Under one of the headlights and on the roof. Will have the dealer look and fix at my oil change coming up.

I noticed my front bumper was scratched in transit or something about a week after taking delivery.

mine had the wax circle marks from the factory that they didn't address. Dealer took the time to make it right. Happy now.

Hi there! If you'd like additional assistance, feel free to send us a private message with your VIN and dealer info and I’ll look into this concern. Thanks!

Just my opinion but for the money these trucks cost, I would not accept a repainted vehicle.

I'm right there with you. I want to see the repair before I say yes to purchase. If not I am going to pass and order a '25.

Not sure if anyone else has this issue but the outer black window trim at the bottom of my window seems to be delaminating. It’s happening on all the windows. I know there’s a name for this trim, but for the life of me, I can’t remember. Either way, I’ve never had a vehicle do this before.

There is a thread here on the forum for this issue. Seems to have appeared on vehicles that were on QA hold. Almost like something was taped there for a while and the residue damaged the trim.

That makes perfect sense. My “born on date” was February 2024 and I purchased last month. Makes me wonder what fresh hell was the QA hold for lol. What would I search to find this thread and thanks!

Just an update, I have decided to pass on my Ranger Raptor. The paint work came back from the body shop with a lot of dirt in the clear coat and bad orange peel on one panel. Dealer did offer to send it back to the body shop, however I am over it at this point. Just so disappointed. I am going to try to find another one in my area. The real thing that sucks, is I was going to get it at dealer invoice, I know that's not going to happen now. Might just wait and order a '25 from my dealer, who I like.

Did you buy that truck from Lamoille Valley Ford in VT?

My '24 Lariat in Cactus Grey has a noticeable flaw on the paint on the front part of the hood. Like something between a sesame seed & a sunflower kernel was painted over. In fact if I look close it looks like the whole truck was painted in my dusty garage.

Dealer has offered nothing whatsoever to make me whole. I asked for a factory painted hood, declined. They have a same color XLT at another dealership they own. I offered to drive 100 miles to have the hoods swapped, declined. In both cased they said the paint would never match. (And the hood swap option would leave them with a F'd up truck, not me)

Their solution was to send the truck to a body shop to have the whole hood repainted, thereby GUARANTEEING the hood won't match, either now or a couple of years from now. I declined.

The only solution they offered would result in FOMOCO and the dealer being giddy happy & me with a permantly F'd up truck.

BEWARE FUTURE FORD in Concord, Ca.

Fortunately the defect is in a place where the $90 factory "satin wind deflector" will cover it, actually doesn't look bad either.

It will match if they repaint it. Just had my shelter green fender repainted by the dealer, its matched perfectly. Same color, same metal flake density. Your worry about a mismatch is boomer fear. The truck is new, there is no fading currently. Just get it repainted.

Now that you have blessed this body shop and the processes used (sight unseen), you've completely changed my mind.

Every forum has "that guy", didn't take me long here to find out who it is.
