Ranger Sales & Production Report - August 2026

There's not going to be a F100 or super duty Ranger. The super duty isn't happening here because we have domestic F-150 lines whereas Australia has to import them at significant markups which provides market segment room for the Ranger super duty.

Ford Ranger August 2026 Sales & Production Report:

6,033 sold (18.9% increase YoY)
45,925 sold year-to-date (4.3% increase YoY)
8,597 produced in August
49,991 produced YTD in 2026

Is this what rolled off the line altogether, or only the American production? My Canadian ranger is built down there, would that be included in those numbers?

All North American Rangers are built at MAP. For ROW there are numerous manufacturing locations. The above charts say US sales so I doubt if they include your Canadian Ranger.

I remain skeptical. I can’t see that ford suddenly believes that in 2029 that the midsize body on frame would get a lot of love and open another factory for that frame.

I think you are in for some disappointment.

even if a bronco pickup came forward. I can’t imagine it would have enough volume to kick out the Ranger from the MAP.

and unless ford is going to triple the sales of the t100 which seems unreasonable given what they have been doing with the Ranger I suspect that TTP will be producing something else.

maybe the ice hybrid versions of the new ev platform.

We know that Ford limits production at MAP of Rangers so that Bronco can be prioritized. We know that TTP has to be put to use building something. We know that Ranger has one of the lowest inventory levels. We shall see.

that’s not what I read. Farley was making noises like maybe Ranger development would move out of Australia. It’s expensive and if Australia is going to ban diesels, does it make sense to be engineering a world ranger in Australia?

Given that the Bronco and Ranger share the same platform and roll down the MAP assembly line together I could see the Ranger also getting it. But with the 2029 model year likely being the last for the Ranger at MAP I could also see a hybrid system not showing up until the F-100 is in production at TTP. We'll know the answer to that question soon when the Bronco hybrid is announced. If a Ranger hybrid is not announced at the same time, then we won't see it until the F-100.

That's a lot of conjecture. I would love for it to be true, but we don't really know for sure what Ford is cooking up behind the scenes. The F-100 thing hasn't been confirmed. Online speculators have been wrong before; look at the recent announcement of the Ford Fathom - which many online commentators were adamant was going to be the Ranchero.

You’re correct, it is conjecture which is part of the fun (sleuthing and putting pieces together). Also comes from some trusted sources. But you are 100% correct, we won’t know for sure until Ford confirms it, and even then we know Ford changes plans frequently.

no where does it say that the aussies were awarded a new mission. It’s the same mission, design the ranger. I think it’s pretty likely that will continue through the next generation ranger.

i think that is probably bad for your F100 scenario, as if they had transferred design to Asia, I could see the F100 arising as a North American specific design like the Toyota Tacoma. But that is not the case.

The ranger has about the same amount of inventory in terms of months of sales as other vehicles like the maverick and bronco sport.

so the demand for the Ranger is being met at the current facility, MAP.

it doesn’t make sense to dedicate TTP to ford ranger, the demand isn’t there.

I think it likely TTP will be producing something else that looks more like the skunkworks electric vehicles, only hybrid. I guess the question is does that replace the maverick and bronco sport And shift production from Mexico? Or do they keep that line running?
