I noticed when the truck is running via remote start that the A/C really steps up when I put the key in the ignition. Anyone know if the A/C is running at all with it in remote start. I need this for my dog, so its kind of important.

I have two dogs. In my experience, it does run AC via remote start. If the car was sitting for a while, I think it maxes out to cool down as quickly as possible. It also might have a preset fan speed through warm-start uses, that then gets over-ridden to your previous setting when you get in and turn it on.

Without true "dog mode", I make sure to only rely on it for very short times I leave the vehicle.
While the power-off timer may be reliable, I'm not risking my dog on Ford reliability.
I did add a small portable fan to help circulate cool air in the back seat pet hammock area when I'm driving and only use it when it is hot outside.
My dog likes having the back window cracked a bit (when not too hot) because the negative pressure brings in fresh air.

I've been checking it out and I'm 99% sure the AC is running.
