There is a switch in the settings menu that allows you to turn that off. The hill hold function continues to work properly with it switched off.
Does that work on the 2024's ? If so can you provide some guidance on where to find that setting?

I'm still stuck on the earlier UI so I can't be sure for the 2024 (the updated UI is an over the air update that I am yet to receive - but it is coming).

In terms of what the manual says:

Ford Ranger Disabled auto start / stop with eliminator kit (4DTECH) and it works 1719269564109-x0

All Y’all just need to move to a state that is always stupid hot outside. It’s, on average, about hot as B@lls here in SC pretty much all the time. My ASS never engages due to needing to keep my A/C on. I just run it on max and turn the fan to like 2 or 3 and no ASS issue.

As soon as we find how we got to the screen, I'll let you know how. We disabled it, but it still comes on sometimes, I can't figure it out. We're gonna ask the dealer about this.

I have same issue. I just lightly press gas pedal and then brake to move for few inches. Was hoping there is a temporary override workaround.
I just discovered a workaround .If you take off the seat belt while at a idle speed and moving very slowly the auto/hold feature is disabled and the seat belt alarm does not come on .The truck will continue to move in forward or reverse while breaking as many times as needed to park.

Another feature that is bothersome while parking is Auto Hold. Great in traffic, but a pain when pulling into a tight garage. Wish it was activate by a pump on the brakes like some other vehicles, instead of through the menu.

You guys doing the 4Dtech auto/start stop before you do the install watch the install video on the 4D site. Pay attention to the installers hand position and what finger he is using to release the plug.
Once he gets it off look where the plug release is, so you know where to push to get it to release .
Super simple .

I added the 4D eliminator on Friday. Works a treat and easy to install!

Does the 4D eliminator hang down below the dash or is there room for it to be hidden?

Does not hang down below the dash. Plenty of space to zip tie it up and out of the way.

I saw the Australia version and it requires fuse connections which I am not interested because I already used it for dashcam. No fuse connections with 4dtech kit. Two products so far to choose from for our 24 rangers.
Hello ,is that only for2024 rangers IN AUSTRALIA!! or all 2024 rangers globally!! Thanks !!
