This is what I still own. Mines the last 4G model 2011.
its more useful with a standard transmission.

2004+ Ranger 2.3L Duratec
143 HP @ 5250 RPM
154 lb-ft @ 3750 RPM

Ford EcoBoost – Mustang Looks On A Budget
Muscle car or Pony car, the Mustang has always been best with an American V8 under the hood. But, if you're a fan of the Mustang's looks but want someone a little less thirsty, the EcoBoost is perfect. Don't think half the cylinders are going to be a disappointment, Ford still delivers a healthy 310 hp.

Sure, the 2.3-liter four-cylinder won't be as vocal as a V8, but it still makes a compelling argument as a sports car. Floor the gas pedal and a mix of turbocharged horses and torque is good for 60 mph in 5.8 seconds, and a top speed of 145 mph. As for the gas mileage, on a highway, the addition of a turbocharger makes 31 mpg a reality.

Too true. The new Amarok (Ranger in disguise) will be available with the 2.3 EcoBoost in most countries.
Australia doesn't get the 2.3 in any flavour of Ranger which is a pity as I'm sure it would be very popular.

I have a 2023 Camaro with the 2.0L turbo. I drove the SS (which is a beast), but found the performance of the four cylinder more than adequate for my needs and my car is 400 pounds lighter than the SS. Most of that weight savings is in the front end, making my Camaro more fun to toss around.

GM missed an opportunity to market the Camaro as a fun, touring car on one end and the track ripping beast on the other. Ford has done a better job with this than GM, but could do more to make the Ecoboost Mustang stand out.

Australia gets the 2.3 in the Ranger PHEV. I wish the USA would get the PHEV.
