Thanks! Any estimate on how much tube ends up going down?
Maybe like a little less than 2 feet. There’s kind of a trick to it. If you go too far the tube will start to loop. I usually go down until it kind of stops. From there I’ll let it suction for a while. Takes a few minutes to get most of the oil out. Then I’ll keep suction while I pull the tube out and it magically find more oil.

Yesterday my friend and I installed the RCI rock sliders. It took about 3 and a half hours. The instructions were good but a little more detail would have been better. On some steps they specifically said what hardware needed to be installed and others it was vague. I was also missing (4) M6 bolts to reinstall the fuel control module. It said they should have been included but they were not.

Install was pretty straight forward. The passenger side was the easiest since there is no brake lines or harness in the way. I opted not to install the treat plates for now. I like the current look. They do not work very well as side steps haha. I might add some grip tape on them to help since they're slippery when wet. Overall I am happy with them. Time to put them to use.

Just swapped out my OEM spark plugs today for some NGK LTR7BHX gapped to .026". Winfield from GooseTune suggested I do this since my mileage and the new tune. The plugs aren't hard to do. The most annoying part was the grey harness clip on the passenger rear plug. That did not want to come off.

These OEM spark plugs had 16,153 miles on them.

Yesterday I installed a RCI engine skid plate. I went with aluminum and black in color. The build quality is nice but I was missing some hardware. The hardware bag said Bronco and two bolts were missing. I had my own but definitely annoying.

I am waiting for the transfer case skid to get delivered. Once I have that I will put the transmission skid and that on. Hopefully those aren't missing any hardware.

Super easy install.

Yesterday my friend and I sealed the bed caps, resealed my tonneau cover, added bed lights, and added a tailgate seal. It took most the day but it's almost waterproof haha. I need to add some more stuff and I'll be happy with it.

It's weird to see my truck without the bed rack on.

I'll be taking the truck for a trip to Tail of the Dragon in October and I wanted better braking. I ordered DBA rotors and pads. They didn't have the rear pads in stock so I went with some powerstop ones. I'll be changing these this weekend. I think there's a maintenance mode for the parking brake guess I will find out.

It’s impressive how steady and consistent you’ve been with the build and upgrades. Glad to have learned about the Karga seat stands from your build. Following.

Oh man! Yes I let them know. Send them an email and they will refund you some money. Not a lot but better than nothing!

I changed the front and rear pads and rotors yesterday. The fronts were simple and straight forward like any other. The rears weren't bad but I have an issue now.

I was able to get the truck into service mode for the electronic parking brake. I heard the motors back out and I could easily replace the parts. I then did the procedure to take the truck out of service mode and I heard the motors spin and then the truck freaked out and said parking brake fault. Pushing and releasing the parking brake button did nothing. Trying to get the truck back into service mode did nothing.

The red BRAKE light was on along with some orange looking lightning bolt symbol in a circle next to it. I verified the parking brake wasn't on and everything was plugged in correctly. I never unplugged the motors while changing the parts.

From here I was stumped. I drove home from my garage with the truck screaming at me the parking brake was on, it wasn't... I got the truck home and I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes. After that the parking brake worked again with the button. It would turn on and release properly. I still have a brake fault code though. I am going to try and use Forscan to figure out the code and clear it if I can.

Don't know if you saw my post in the "What did you do to/with your Ranger Raptor Today" about my oil change. I was able to get the tube down 34" with my vacuum pump and hardly had a dog slobber sized amount of oil come out of the pan. I measured the dipstick length at 20" and marked the vacuum tube to give me an idea of where I was at when inserting it. Marked the tube on where it bottomed out at started pumping it out.

The truck is all good now. I was able to go into Forscan and see the codes. There were (9) codes haha! All ABS/Brake related. I recorded them all and then cleared them. I shut the truck off and on then used the parking brake like normal. I tested all the functions including the brake hold and it's all good. I'm very happy I don't need to go to the dealer. In the future I will be using Forscan to put the truck into service mode for the rear brakes.

Now the big question, do you notice an improvement over the stock brakes?
