Hi All,
I’m talking with Dustin at FN Wheels about the possibility of making TRD Rock Warriors for our Ford Rangers, hubcentric and all. For those that don’t know, the “Rock Warrior” wheel is really popular for Toyota’s as it’s a lightweight wheel, aesthetically pleasing, but has plenty of downfalls (they crack easy, hard to get, and are usually VERY overpriced).
I found out FN wheels will be making a better version of this wheel - updated, stronger, and a ton of details to mention. Below is directly from Dustin @ FN Wheels:
“•Gunmetal, matte black and matte bronze, all with machined rings
•17x8.5” +35 6x139.7 (93.1 center bore available with 24 wheel minimum order)
•Other specs upon request (24pcs minimum)
•Forged billet caps (not plastic). Color matched or machined with FNW logo. Possibly we can do a custom engraved cap with 200pc minimum.
•Fully forged 6061 high purity billet aluminum. Not cast. Not flow formed.
•Fully forged removable billet ring that has been polished and clear coated. Stainless fasteners included for the ring.
•17x8.5” +35 weighs approximately 30lbs including the ring.
Yes, this is about 5.5 or 6 lbs heavier than the original Toyota 17x8” +50 5x150 wheel.
The oe wheel had ridiculously small bead humps, super thin lips/flanges, uncoated barrel (uncoated anything actually other than the outer face), and it is overall weaker than my wheel.
My wheel is rated for up to 37” tires. While you can put larger tires on the OE wheels, you would eventually end up like this because they weren’t rated for 35’s or 37’s.
These wheels cost a lot to make, so I would ask for a 25% deposit up front.
ETA 3-4 months from the time the last deposit has been received.
If the wheels aren’t ready by the end of month 5 then the deposit is 100% fully refundable upon the customer’s request. The deposit is otherwise non-refundable.”
So…is anyone interested in getting a set? We need 24 PCS of the same color to fulfill one order slot. I added pictures here to check out. The big selling point to me is: love the style, love the rings, and really love the hubcentric ability.
Looking at $550 per wheel + shipping.
