Truck bed cover options. I’m torn between two.

The Leer HF650M is probably the best one on the market for the Ranger right now.

Leer was running a special selling it for $750 with free shipping. I highly recommend that over the others hard folding covers that require drain tube drilling and dont form a good seal and what not.

The biggest problem with the Ranger itself is the side walls, the top of the bed, or whatever you call them are full of holes everywhere, the stake pockets, and the front of the bed, and the tailgate.... its just a bad design for sealing with a cover.

There are multiple writeups of users who corrected the leakiness but it is definitely an ordeal to do so.

I would like to agree about the Leer HF650M as I have a fully boxed one sitting in my cellar. Sold to me but doesn't fit a 2026 due to bed rails and I believe person asking has a 2026.
What about a Lomax? A tri-fold but appears to get good reviews.

I bought this tri-fold soft cover on Amazon for $239 which is still the current price. That was 8 months ago and it still looks just like the day I got it. It's as good a quality as the trifecta cover I had on my F-150 if not a little better. I'm surprised the price hasn't gone up.

I’m shopping around for a truck bed cover and I finally landed on the BAK Revolver X4S. But then I noticed that Ford has a new one that is similar, the Ranger 2026 Hard Rolling Truck Bed Cover by Real Truck Advantage for 5ft Bed
SKU: VS1WZ99501A42X. I’m intrigued because it looks very similar and is slightly less expensive and has the Ford badging on it. I’m torn on which I should get. On the one hand the BAK is proven to be reliable and durable, but on the other I like the idea of having OEM accessories, especially if they’re reasonably priced. Any wise opinions would be much appreciated.

I have used Truxedo soft roll up on several F-150's and now my Ranger and I love them. They have never leaked during snow, heavy rain or car washes. They have never been broken into and I feel they are totally safe wherever I park my truck.

Just bought a 2026 Lariat and am planning to buy a hard roll-up. I had a 2022 with a Line-X hard roll-up with the canvas cover (instead of vinyl) that I bought the day after buying that Ranger, along with the spray-in bed lining. I loved it and never had any issues. It was simple to remove (roll it up and slide 2 connectors at the front of the bed rails). Easy to remove it by myself (and I'm just a 65-year-old average guy).

I believe version from Ford (RealTruck Advantage) is made by the same manufacturer as the Line-X (Line-X just brands them), as they both appear to be made and function the same.

I don't know the warranty (yet) for the one through Ford, but Line-X gives a limited life-time warranty.

On the 2022 Ranger, the Line-X hard roll-up was water-tight - they had to install some large foam inserts at the front of the bed, but appears Ford improved the bed design with the 6G Ranger that should eliminate the need for those. The new "holes" in the bed rails may impact that, but it should stay relatively dry with the cover.

My goal is for security, which can more easily be "bypassed" with a knife on a soft cover.

After a bit more "browsing", I believe you are correct... Ford cover and Revolver X2 appear to be same. Thanks for that!

Car & Driver agrees with @sikedsyko on the BAK X4S - it was their 2026 pick for best hard roll up cover.

I tried a few roll ups and disliked them. I bought one of these and I'm quite happy. Easy to use, easy to remove, and no leaks.

I had the same one on my 2023 Ranger and now on moved onto my 2025. That is a few years in Georgia sun.

Had bot the the Back-Flip, tri and rollup. After having the 3 piece folder on my Lariat I chose the roller, IMO easier operation and much less obsttuction when all the way back. - both have the same weight bearing stats as if you're going to be putting 200-300 pounds on top of the close cover (not sure when that would ever happen in real life) You get what you pay for.
