What I don't understand is how after switching RR orders from stock to retail the dealership can still charge an ADM fee. Once the order is retail, my understanding was that you had price protection. Are these dealerships just saying "Welp.. doesn't matter, someone will pay an ADM fee. So it's going to be your or someone else!" You'd think that Ford wouldn't be in favor of that and could do something about it. I'm very fortunate in that my dealership is selling to me at MSRP. Unfortunate that I haven't been scheduled yet. Keeping my fingers crossed though for a quick resolution.

The one I am getting is their stock order. No customer for it till I came along.

Just got off the phone with my sales rep. Prior to the strike, a build date has been assigned, 7 Nov. And the VIN has been assigned as well. These were secured prior to my meeting with them.

He will try send me the information directly from his computer.

I agreed to give them the 10K mark up for the 2024 RR. It appears that is standard practice in our area. I was at another dealer picking up a friend, while waiting I started to bs with one of the sales reps. He quoted me the same dealer mark up.
You are correct many have paid the 5 or 10k over some likely more. On the RR it could be understood as the first RR available. Looking at their site I see they have ADM on everything. This is very frowned apon from the manufacture. At lest they are open about it as many you don't find out till you try to buy something!

You are correct and the dealer tosses in whatever they want to charge. This was unheard of years ago except for some real rare stuff. Now they try to do it with everything. Basically, they are tossing a finger to the manufacture and customers. Manufactures hate it but cannot fix that part. What they can do is put them on notice that it could and has caused issues with dealer allotments.
It causes all kinds of bad blood and on the electric side is even worse. Customer get fed up with the game and just go to Tesla where the prices are fixed.
Many cases of even orders under deposit, when you go to get them, they add a bunch of money on, the practices are scrupless.

Hay, that dealer has 55k for 2023 XLT's. Feel really bad for anyone to pay that for a 2023. Guess they figure somebody wants one today, here it is; now pay are ransom...

Yep, publishing a VIn is not a big deal as they are not like hidden or something.
Now that you have that info you can follow the order here;
Ford Vehicle Order Tracking Home
Thank you for the link.

I tried to check the order based on the VIN and Order #. Somehow, I could not see any change on the screen or did nor see any pop ups. Thinking I might have entered the VIN wrong, I altered the entry. The system immediately responded that it does not recognize the VIN.

Do I need to create an account first?

make sure you don't have any pop up or ad blockers running
