After combing through various threads, I realize that some people are cool with undercarriage rust on new vehicles and that it is not entirely uncommon.
My question is for those of you who had more than just a rusty drive shaft. What has everyone's experience been with their dealership/ FMC in addressing this issue?
Mine arrived at the dealership today, and there is an upsetting amount of rust on bolts, the frame, driveshaft, etc.
My particular trucker was built in the beginning of February, driven 130km on salty winter roads(presumably), and then parked dirty until now. The non driveshaft rust was definitely a result of this. I plan to see what the dealer will do with this, but I was hoping to see what others' experiences have been.
Thanks in advance.
On a side note, everything else looks perfect and the truck is beautiful. It's an XLT FX4 in ? grey.
