Could be the air bag safety recall. Ford put a hold on production and selling RR on dealer lots until corrected. There are several post about this.

I have already told them that I am not taking it without an explanation from Ford, especially with the length of time being on this quality hold. This is the second one I have ordered as the first one came in with a lot a paint defects and I refused it.

I will say, look over your truck carefully as from what I have seen, ranger is really suffering from poor paint quality control. I have looked at 3 other RR 2 of them had obvious paint issues. The only reason I did not buy the other is I refuse to pay over MRSP.

On the back of the cab below the rear window I had a piece of weld slag they painted over. The paint quality does suck on these trucks.

Thinking about getting a Ranger Raptor. Not sure if I’m here looking for support, or someone to talk me off the ledge. There’s a few 2025’s here on the lots in NE Ohio. Not discounted much, maybe just order a 2026?

It just seems like paint quality control on these are all over the place. If you are planning on buying one, please make sure you throughly look it over. This is my second one I ordered that has paint issues and have seen several on dealer lots with paint issues. Just crazy.

Hood one is down to the sheet metal.

The wiper photo, someone ran the wipers with them locked open and caused that damage.

Well funny story, whoever bought the rr that I passed on for QC issues had it for 3 weeks and traded it back in at a different dealership. Would love to know why.

Probably dodged a bullet on that one. Anything sitting that long on hold would raise a lot of red flags with me as well.
