I don't know the answer to your question, but a company called Dongar Technologies sells USB power outlets that plug into the mirror wiring for power. Mostly used for dashcams.

Yeah if you are doing a dashcam and/or radar, I would just buy a mirror tap instead. Some other threads about where to hook in.

Wish is was standard. I installed the Dongar adapter, which I had to modify a bit to fit my 2025 Ranger XLT.

my dash cam is twin camera so I need 12v.
I’ve found a 12v to usb converter that I can rewire this port to but need the other end

The slot/groove didn't match up, so I modified the Dongar adapter ends (not the Ford wiring ends).
