Hello all, a coupe months ago my local ford dealer installed a 2.5" leveling kit and basically (from what I remember) from the jump i had vibrations at highway speeds. I chalked it up to by my aftermarket tires (Ko2s) but after countless balances and also switching back to the OEM wheel and tire setup the vibrations persist. One shop has already looked at it and couldn't find the issue while two shops are going to look at it this week but both over the phone said they've never heard of something like this. I would assume the 2.5" level shouldn't be enough to cause driveline geometry issues and the difference in angles between the major components all seem to be in spec, with an exception being the center bearing to rear diff housing is a difference of 3 degrees but I still can't imagine it's that. I'm beginning to believe there's not much anyone can do but if anyone has had a similar experience or has some ideas please let me know. If the issue persists I think the next move will be to go with an actual strut lift rather then the current puck spacer I have. Thank you and happy trails.

Any change to geometry (ride hight) can cause vibrations. Especially at 2.5 inches. The only correct way to level these trucks is to put a kit on that will essentially drop the front axle to realign the shafts. You have proved this by re balancing tires to no avail. It’s absolutely a rotating part that’s no longer in correct alignment

Did they do an alignment after the install? I had some very minor vibration after installing mine but it went away after I had it realigned.

would that mean getting an adjustable coilover? I've looked and Eibach has offerings for these trucks now which I was already thinking of upgrading too since this kit has been a nightmare.

They realigned i'd assume because I took it to another shop to rule that out and they said everything was in spec.

I would drop it to 2”, 2.5 has always been the max. Each truck is slightly different some may do 2.5” with no problem others as in your case can have issues.

If im gonna drop it to 2 should I just get a full lift kit instead of just spacers? Im willing to dish out the extra money if its gonna be more comfortable and reliable.

Nothing more reliable than a spacer. Its static with no moving parts to wear or break amd rides like stock.

But a complete lift is nice too

Depends, true lift will drop the diff and would be 4”. You could also pull the spacer outrun to stock and see if it vibrates. Takes about two hours in the garage to do it. Alignment won’t effects vibration, if it still does it you have other issues.

Likely the way I'm going to go, being a college student who is also going to be working during the semester i'd rather a smoother ride when I use the vehicle rather then a bad one that might look a bit cooler.
