My backrack saved my life when a maniac rear ended me in my 2002 XLT on I95 and I barrel rolled several times and ended upside down. Crushed the roof down on an angle instead of completely flat. Again, the Backrack saved my life!Took the Ranger back out to the ag fab shop working on modifying my old Colorado Headache rack. They wanted to take some more measurements with rack setting on the truck.

I got the RB20 “Slim” version and I absolutely love them. If a 66 year old can lay down on a packing blanket and install the six brackets and the attach the running boards by himself then anyone can do this. See my post in the accessories section for pixHi Justin,
I had the RB10's on my 5g and liked them. But went with the RB 20 for this 6g bc I thought they looked more like Raptor boards. They are somewhat adjustable to stick out less, but I like that parking lot dings are avoided bc the other doors hit the boards first. Believe me, I heard a few "dings" at Lowes, but never hit the truck! They are from Real Truck, sale price $504 (4 years ago the 10's were $465), and that includes brackets. They are powder coated anti slip finish. They also have bedliner coated, but they are costly by a few hundred bucks and not worth it. My RB10's went 4 1/2 years with no rust and no loss of coating. 3 brackets easily bolt to the original board fasteners on the body. (Note they also make a ?"slim" version, a little cheaper but I don't think they will be as useful as a step, or a door bumper!).
I have backrack units on all my business trucks. My backrack saved my life when a maniac rear ended me in my 2002 XLT on I95 and I barrel rolled several times and ended upside down. Crushed the roof down on an angle instead of completely flat. Again, the Backrack saved my life!
And to think the only reason I installed a back rack was to protect the rear window from bouncing firewood. Go figure it would save my life.I have backrack units on all my business trucks.
They make some good products.
I have these custom built lighted racks on all my personal trucks, except my TRX.
I have always like the look and function of racks like these.
Been using racks like this for over 30 years.
Any tips here? I’m considering DIY for my new STX.Rhino spray in bed liner....
