Installed my Redline Tuning QuickLift Hood Plus hood props, so much better than the factory rod.

Upgraded the intercooler to one from CVF and while I was at it put on these front recovery hooks from Reno. The thread for the install of the hooks is here: https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/posts/293071/ post #9.

Did the oil change yesterday using royal purple. That went great from the underside for my 2024 2.3 powered ranger.

Today i did the remote start kit from startx and the stubby antenna from craven speed.

I like the look of the stubby antenna and have gotten the same for my previous 04 ranger amd my 17 titan.

The remote start kit is from the company i used on my wife's 2019 wrangler unlimited, her 2018 mazda3, and my son's previous 2005 mazda6. They were all startx brand from amazon and have all worked flawlessly.

I am so happy to not have to use the stupid phone app to start the truck now. It takes so long to connect that i am normally already to the truck by the time it starts. Now, no more 125-140 degree interior temps when i open the door in the south texas sun.

First mods to the new truck. Probably the same first mods of many new Ranger owners...The tray fits the center console so nicely, it is stupidly satisfying. All from Amazon.

Built a bracket for the Garmin PowerSwitch. Will probably mount it on top of the engine bay fusebox.

Not my truck but, my father-in-laws....

He got new seat covers from katskinz amd they are very comfortable and smell like a brand new pair of nice leather boots.

He had the grey/black cloth seats like mine and these covers still kept the seats super comfortable. My wife and took it for a test drive.

One other note, that new 2.3 is for sure more powerful feeling then my 24 2.3. He had big tires and a lift and its still super responsive and takes off quickly.


For my truck, my offroam phone mount base came in. I just have to find my arms and phone mount pieces from bullet point that were left iver from the wife's wrangler and i will have a place to put the phone besides under my leg

For what it's worth, I brought home a veritable collection of insects from the trip. I could switch careers and become an entomologist. But the windshield stayed relatively clear by comparison. Of course, it did nothing to protect the nice stone chip I received from a work truck that was just absolutely barreling around a curve in the Allegheny National Forest... got a nice stone chip dead center on the front curve of my roof.
