So reading all this and the differences what number should you believe?? The door, the tire or Fordpass????
Always go by the door. That is how the vehicle was tested. It makes the vehicle as safe as it can possibly be.

It was a good move to drop them to specification.

You just saved yourself a literal set of tires and improved traction levels when they most matter.

I also found this but not sure which ranger manual this is
It's for a 5th gen ranger in australia or new zealand, and the maintenance section of that manual shows 3 diesel engines. I'd say very little from that manual would apply to our 6th gen rangers, or at the very least, it's not a good assumption that something in that manual would apply to our rangers.

sticker calls for 35psi on my XLT so I try to keep it around that. Happy medium for best of everything.

thanks I didn’t catch that

but tires are tires even on the other side of the world

I think that psi chart makes sense to me at least.

"tires are tires" is true, but perhaps not very helpful. Are they the same size? Brand and model? Are the trucks the same weight? Same weight distribution among axles? I'll bet a donut that some variables are different enough that it becomes unwise to assume info from that manual is applicable to our trucks.
