What gives? No rear A/C vents?

Hi all,

I just noticed that the US version doesn’t have rear A/C vents but the overseas version does. Allegedly it was done for cost savings? What gives?

I've seen it in some of the US intro videos. I think its available on higher trims/packages.

For some reason, Ford chose to leave it off the US market ranger. Toyota did the same thing on the Tacoma. Probably saved them some $$.

Nope, not available on any US mkt rangers, period.

It's total bullshit.
If I end up getting a ranger I'll see what it'll take to import the necessary parts to add them

We did get a power slider which I would rather have then the rear vents. We also do not get the cup holders in the dash.

The cutting down on parts to save money is readily seen in the changes coming for job 2 on the Bronco.
No more cloth interior on lower trims that had it standard (it will now be mgv).
Upper trims with cloth will now only have leather seat option
Steel bash plate for modular bumper option is removed on lower trims that don't have it as standard - Base, Big Bend & Outer Banks.

Oh well, at least we finally get a usable rear sliding window. When it was manual. It was worthless to me. Love opening it up with front windows on a nice day, creates great air flow through the cab.

And it has 95% of what I'd want, so I think I'll be very happy in my new Ranger Raptor.

He meant it just as much against dealers being able to spring admins and other pricing surprises last minute on customers too. This is more about transparency in the process than it is a fixed price.
