I am getting ready to install a Bakfip cover, which comes with drainage tubes. ( My last two did.) Can I assume the black plug at the front of the bed that I have circled in the photo can be cut and used for drainage? Is that what it is actually for or does it have another function? Thanks

Don't you have drain tubes towards the front of the bed for drainage already?

My truck had factory drain tubes that the covers drain tubes fit into. I'll go take a picture.

They were not factory drain tubes, rather drain holes. I have these drain holes on both sides and the cover has a drain tube on both sides.

Don't know if that helps you.

I used the area under the rail rather than drilling through those plugs. Drilling through the plugs is the recommended in the instructions. I didn’t want to drill them because they were covered with factory bed liner. Been like this 2 years with no issues.

That's perfect. I didn't even notice those holes until your post. That is what I am going to do. Thanks!

I have a FORD Rev cover which is a 4 panel cover. But I think it’s similar to one of the BakFlip

I also used holes already in the bed
I did not like running the tubes down because a could just see loading something in the bed that
would mess up the tubing.
