I know im going to get some hate on this one, but I really like the corner illuminating feature. Super handy when Im driving through dark and unfamiliar roads or streets late at night. Tons of deer in my area, and while It hasn't saved me (or them) yet, I feel like it could.

I know a lot of people hate the feature...
I also like the light
Great on dark curvy roads

I have to laugh at the "Courtesy Wipe". When you hit the wipe button to wash the windshield you get two strokes, a pause, and an additional WIPE to catch the drips. Genius.

Easy to use controls on the wheel.

Peppy with great handling. I stay in sport mode and sometimes open the pipes for Baha exhaust.

Dislikes:

No 60/40 back seat

No cooling seats

No Sunroof

Had those on my F 150 Raptor

Overall, a great truck and it fits in the Garage!

The one feature I'm struggling to abide is the automatic headlights. As brilliant as the projector lamps are in the lariat, the "automatic" feature for high beams was just killing me. For decades now I've been doing just fine with promptly employing high beams when I want them, turning them off when appropriate, and quickly flashing them when I need to. I think in the 6 months or so that I've had my Ranger I've blinded more people with my high beams than I have in the 35 years of driving vehicles without auto high beams. But then I finally disabled it in the settings and I'm back to being able to use my high beams the way I like to.

1st thing I knew that it had but thought I would never use - heated seats. I live in Louisiana, why would I want heated seats? But man, do I love them now.

2nd. The trailer light check with the app. Easy to verify all lamps are working from outside the truck.

3rd. Global Window control - open and close windows with the key fob.

I threw mw at first. There are 3 settings on the stick. Off, On and Automatic. I leave it on A and it works fine.

He's talking about auto high beams. What you mention is for headlights in general.
Auto high beams will switch to low beams when a car approaches, then automatically switch back to high beams. I disabled mine because it would switch every time I approached a streetlight on country road. I pretty much always drive with low beams and fog lights, rarely do I switch to High Beam.

When your lights are on and you turn the wheel, the fog light on that side turns on (wide beam) to illuminate that corner. Thats how it works on the XLT at least. It is very noticeable if you have it.

I think the Raptor and maybe the Lariat have a similar function built into the main headlights rather than the fogs.

Yeah it's this little light here. I was so fascinated when I found this out 🤣

Yea, these trucks do have some really good headlights.

The thing that surprised me the most is just how much I really do enjoy driving it.
It has sort of a high-end European sports sedan feel to it, and that really surprised me given that it is a body on frame truck.

I also love the looks of it in general. It's one of the only trucks left that is not just been crazy over stylized. It is the only midsize that is not over stylized IMO.

Just some trivial stuff. Came from a very basic 4G.

I live in a Condo with a tight parking space, The dude beside me rarely moves his car. Working from home. The 4G cam door swing opened 1/4 then full. Between that the door would swing open easily. The new Ranger has better door cam hold positions and is tight in between those points. Door does not swing open uncontrollably. Hopefully it will stay this tight.

I am calmer in the new Ranger. More refined. Enjoyable to drive.

Best feature is the app for my Samsung Galaxy watch and the ability to start the truck from my watch. You can start the truck from inside a building when the key signal won't reach. The truck is warm or cool when I get to it.
