IDK what model the lariat has, but I can confirm it isn’t even remotely close to what’s in the Raptor…Do you guys know if this is the same on the non-Raptor versions? If not, do you know what the Lariat rear end is?
incorrect information!!! I've already checked with spicer, they don't build it, Ford does, and it's likely built in Thailand.^^ Is it the Dana Advantek M220 with the double-row ball bearing pinion bearing?
FYI, I never said it was the Dana Advantek M220. I simply asked IF it was the Advantek. Nothing more.incorrect information!!! I've already checked with spicer, they don't build it, Ford does, and it's likely built in Thailand.
Quinn at 74 weld has had one apart and says the rear is a full floater designFYI, I never said it was the Dana Advantek M220. I simply asked IF it was the Advantek. Nothing more.
Anyhow, the question still remains about what type of pinion bearings it has.
Let's not spread any misinformation now, It would appear they ARE in fact a semi-floater. Quinn makes them full float by adding the portal box. Here's the parts diagramQuinn at 74 weld has had one apart and says the rear is a full floater design
your right... I was mistaken, maybe he called it a unit bearing ??? ....I just looked back at his text and he called it a full floating berring...? looks fairly normal from the outside of the housing...anyways thanks for the diagram.Let's not spread any misinformation now, It would appear they ARE in fact a semi-floater.
