Width between bed rails?

I know the 6G is 2" wider than the 5G, but wondered if that meant that the bed rails are farther apart. On my 5G they are 55 1/2 inches (141 cm).

I'm wondering if I could use my crossover toolbox with a Thule ladder rack on a 6G. The bed rails would only need to be about 1 inch (wider 2.54cm) for it to work. About 56 1/2 inches or 143.5cm

I realize the ROW trucks could be a little different than the US version I'd et, but if someone currently has a 6G and could measure, it'd be appreciated.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction. I found this info and if W204 is the bed rails, then it's basically the same. If anyone has a truck and tape measure though, a real life measurement would be appreciated.

I believe W500 is the measurement you’re looking for. W204 is the width between the tailgate

I thought W500 was it at first, but the 5G measurement is way bigger than my bed rail measurement. I think W500 the bed width under the rails. The pic in the actual Body Builder's Layout book looks like W204 is the rail measurement.

Full plywood/sheetrock (W201) laid flat in the bed = winner!!!

I am still scratching my head on this one. I have been purchasing items that have been listed for my new 2024 as fitting that do not. My bed rails (plastic tops) are wider by about 1 inch near the cab compared to their width at the tailgate. While looking at midsize crossover boxes I seem to recall maximum widths of around 61 inches. Getting accurate dimensions for the chase rack I want has been like pulling teeth. Same story with hard tonneau trifold cover. The bottom (only) bed liner fits in the bed but not well around wheel wells. Their the space is 3.4 wider. The tube style running boards fit fine. I suspect some 5G items will work and some won't depending on the individual placement on the vehicle. The W500 specification isn't close if I measure edge to edge without going under rails but I am literal. It says "exposed"...
