There are so many threads that have explained what this is and you can also get an explanation from Chat GPT or google. So many threads about it we should have a sticky. Some people who have removed it have reported increased wind noise and chatter from the rear. Other people are hard of hearing and can't tell.Hi y'all, this part number MB3B-E403F12-BA with it's generic name is a " Spacer – Bed to Cab Alignment ", it is used during assembly of the vehicle, according to Ford " it is used to maintain the correct gap between the two structures, especially during factory assembly or to compensate for manufacturing tolerances, it's permanent factory part, not intended to be removed, this is the information i have as of now, i will update as soon as i get more information on the subject...cheers......
Yes, I stumbled upon it when I was drilling drain holes for my retractable tonneau cove.Anyone know if the 2025's have it?
Yes. my 2025 had it. and I took it out. no noticeable sound increase. but it was wet(never had rain in like 4 days) and it was rotten. it will just hold dirt and salt up against your paint. I went in through the bed access plug, I was trying to see where the rear cab access plug was to run my rear dashcam wire out into the bed for my cap. now that the cap blocks the rear camera, and it was right there. used a 90° oring pick and bitta fenaggling got it out. lolAnyone know if the 2025's have it?
My '24 XLT has it and our '19 and '21 base Rangers at O'Reilly have it.It has been installed in Rangers since the 2019 versions. Only on Lariat and above models though. I questioned it in 2019 with dealer and he crawled under a std Ranger that was on the showroom floor and it didn't have it.
Had it on my 2019 Lariat. After 6 years, no rust, no excess dirt --- and I live in Minnesota were they dump about 5 tons of salt per mile per season.
