t's never been clear to me how to know the right pressure with different tire types. The street tires on my 5G called for 35psi.
Just chalk test if you're unsure what's right. Draw a line across the tread on each tire, go for a drive and then see how the chalk looks. If it's all gone, add air pressure and try again. If it's only gone in the middle, remove air pressure and try again. Ideally it'll all be gone, but you'll want to check in case you're too low.

Is that to make sure there's no humidity in the tire?
Yes as it would freeze when they are in the air as that part of the plane isn't heated. Also tire pressure is higher than normal.

I imagine 30 psi would be the lowest I would ever go, the tires would look kinda flat.

I did a lot of internet sleuthing to try and come up with an explanation for why your door sticker shows 38 PSI and I came up blank. The tiresize.com calculator comes up with results matching my door sticker at 30 PSI and your door sticker at 38 PSI, but only if I say the 17" tire is an LT (Light Truck) tire. The problem is that I can't find any evidence you'd have an LT tire, so then I'm back to not having a good explanation for why the stickers are so different. The only thing I can guess is maybe both pressures are sufficient for the GAWR and beyond that they just choose what felt best during ride testing to compensate for different tire designs? (Territory AT/S for the 18" and Territory AT for the 17")

Look at your payload in relation to his. It is much lower.
I suspect the GVWR for both is the same, maybe they can post their other stickers. The payload is probably just fluctuating based on weight of other options installed. If the allowed axle weight is the same I’d think tire inflation wouldn’t need to change even if the remaining payload capacity is different.

Because my truck is a fully loaded XLT? Maybe because the v6 is heavier?
