Zone Lighting Through the Ford Pass App?

Hi guys , just took possession of my truck a few hours ago. I thought i saw that you could access zone lighting through your app. I cannot find it however. Any help would be appreciated. My app switched over to the new beta as well.

Thank you. I figured it out. I had to revert back to the original app. The Beta version did not have that ability , the original app does.

Does anyone actually KNOW HOW to FIND, let alone INSTALL the original FordPass App to prior to this WORTHLESS beta? Someone posted a link to "download it here... do this & then do that...", with NO other helpful instructions. Downloaded (at least my phone SAID it was downloaded - THREE TIMES...) the apk file, but where it is hiding on my phone is a mystery. I appreciate whoever posts things in an effort to be helpful, but I'm NOT a software developer - nor are probably 99.9999999% of the rest of Ranger owners.

Even if you install the old one , i believe on first reboot of your phone in will update it to the new. Anyone else want to chime in and confirm this ? I read this from others but havent tried it.

I was thinking about this the other day so I haven't even bothered. Apps like this where you need internet connection will likely force you to update and cause the old version to not work. Not completely sure, not an app developer, but I've seen where old versions just won't work any more.

As for installing old versions, If you're on android you have to have an APK installer (a separate app). Install that, can find them on the google play store, and when you download an APK, the APK installer should take care of the rest.

Maybe if enough people voice their opinions, looking at you @Ford Motor Company, Ford or whatever app development team will take notice and revise the app and make us happy again.

I'm not able to get back to the old app anymore. The new version is definitely a downgrade.

They kept asking me numerous times how I liked the new app, and each time I told them I did not like it, then they decide to force-upgrade to a downgraded app anyway.

Maybe there is some good reason, but so far I am not aware of one.

@Ford Motor Company is there any update on restoring this functionality on FordPass? I really could have used this feature two nights ago while we were camped out waiting for fireworks to start I was very disappointed to see the new app has much less functionality compared to the original version.

Would be nice if they did. The old app was much much better. Zone lighting for one !

Yes, it’s pretty spartan with owner control abilities but simplicity has its merits.
