Are Hood Vents Functional Ranger Raptor

Can anyone verify the operation of the hood vents on the Raptor? It appears there are no cutouts in the underhood insulation, so I'm assuming these are just for appearance and non-functional.

Ford says they are functional on both the hood and fender

I hope so. My wife's Explorer ST with this same engine package gets HOT under the hood. No vents anywhere though.

Ford has said they are, and finally found a video that showed the duct from the hood scoops with decent enough light

That's the hood scoop. I'm asking about the hood vents - the plastic pieces in the back part of the hood on either side.

Manual says they are functional, but I need someone to explain to me how they are functional. I don’t see how they can extract, no openings in hood insulation where the extractors are located
